Sterling silver Bauhaus jewelry.
99 years ago, Walter Gropius founded a school with the aim of bridging the gap between art and industry by combining crafts and fine arts. He found motivation in the anxieties about the soullessness of manufacturing and its products, and in fears about art’s loss of purpose in society. Creativity and manufacturing were drifting apart, and the Bauhaus aimed to unite them once again, rejuvenating design for everyday life.
Since then, a heartbeat away from a century later, Bauhaus has become the single most influential movement shaping our cities, our everyday objects, our everyday life.
City Lights Collection is a somehow reversed tribute to this movement – while Bauhaus was infusing the cities with minimalism, I suggest you wear those Bauhaus shaped cities on your finger.
